Two-Pass RO Technology Overview
Two-Pass RO (two-stage reverse osmosis) is an advanced water treatment configuration featuring two reverse osmosis systems connected in series. The first-stage RO removes the majority of impurities from raw water, while the second-stage RO further refines this purified water to achieve ultrapure water with superior quality, exceptional stability, and extremely low impurity content. This system is ideal for electronics manufacturing, pharmaceutical production, and other industries requiring water of exceptional purity.
System Operation Principle
- First Pass (RO): Raw water (tap water, seawater, etc.) passes through reverse osmosis membranes to remove most dissolved salts, organic compounds, bacteria, and other contaminants
- Second Pass (RO): The purified water from the first stage serves as feed water for additional reverse osmosis membrane filtration, eliminating residual trace impurities and ions
