System Overview

This 90 m³/h industrial reverse osmosis (RO) system delivers high-quality water for industrial processes requiring ultra-pure or high-purity water. Ideal for power generation, electronics, chemical production, pharmaceuticals, and beverage manufacturing, the system integrates pretreatment, RO, EDI (Electrodeionization), and filtration to ensure stable, reliable water quality.

EDI (Electrodeionization) combines ion exchange resin with electrodialysis membranes to continuously produce high-purity water with resistivity up to 18 MΩ*cm or higher. As a core component of ultra-pure water production, EDI represents the transition from chemical regeneration to continuous physical purification. In semiconductor and pharmaceutical industries, EDI has replaced mixed-bed systems as the industry standard (SEMI F63).

Main Process Flow
Raw Water → Raw Water Tank → Booster Pump → Flocculant/Reducer Dosing → Activated Carbon Filter → Ultrafiltration (UF) → Scale Inhibitor Dosing → Security Filter → 1st Stage High-Pressure Pump → 1st Stage RO → pH Adjustment → Intermediate Tank → 2nd Stage High-Pressure Pump → 2nd Stage RO → Purified Water Tank → EDI Booster Pump → UV Sterilizer → Cartridge Filter → EDI System → Ultra-Pure Water Tank → Transfer Pump → TOC Removal Unit → Polishing Resin → Final Filter → Point of Use
Unit Functions
  • Multi-Media Filter: Removes suspended solids, sediment, rust, and turbidity to protect downstream RO membranes and equipment
  • Activated Carbon Filter: Removes residual chlorine, organic matter, color, and odor to prevent oxidation or fouling of RO membranes
  • Precision Filter (5 μm or finer): Further removes fine particles to protect RO system
  • Reverse Osmosis (RO) System: High-pressure pumps force water through RO membranes, removing dissolved salts, heavy metals, microorganisms, and colloids with salt rejection ≥ 98%
  • EDI Module (Electrodeionization): Continuously removes residual ions without chemical regeneration, producing high-purity water with stable conductivity (1-5 μS/cm)
