Ⅰ. Equipment Introduction

Water for Injection (WFI) complies with the specifications defined in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia. It is produced by distilling distilled water or deionized water, hence also known as "double-distilled water". To effectively control microbial contamination and endotoxin levels, the design and manufacture of purified water and WFI systems feature two key innovations:

 

  • Increasing adoption of disinfection/sterilization facilities within the system;
  • Evolution of pipeline distribution from traditional supply pipes to circular loop pipelines, minimizing stagnation risks.

  • The WFI preparation, storage, and distribution system is engineered to prevent microbial growth and contamination.
  • Tanks and pipelines are constructed from non-toxic, corrosion-resistant materials, with designs free of dead ends and blind pipes to ensure hygiene.
