I.Overview
The pharmaceutical industry requires extremely stringent water quality standards for Purified Water (PW), Water for Injection (WFI), cleaning water, and process water according to pharmacopeias such as USP, EP, and ChP.
Reverse Osmosis (RO) is the core purification technology, using high pressure to force water through semi-permeable membranes, effectively removing ions, microorganisms, organic matter, particulates, and endotoxins. RO plays a critical pre-treatment role in systems combined with EDI, UF, or mixed beds.
304 stainless steel, with its balanced corrosion resistance (especially against organic acids and weak alkalis in food environments), excellent hygiene performance, and good mechanical and processing properties, has become one of the most commonly used and reliable materials in food and beverage production equipment, conveyance pipelines, storage tanks, and water treatment (particularly clean water/process water) equipment.
